Cream Filled Doughnuts

🌿Ingredients

500 g flour

2 eggs

250 ml milk

80 gr melted butter

2 tsp vanilla extract

a pinch of salt

lemon and orange peel

100 gr sugar

30 g fresh yeast or 10 g dry yeast

10 g vanilla powdered sugar

frying oil

1 Dr. Oetker Original Instant Pudding Mix, vanilla flavour

1 Dr. Oetker Original Instant Pudding Mix, chocolate flavour

🌿Method

  1. Start by placing the flour and salt in a bowl.

  2. Dissolve the sugar and yeast in the warm milk and let them rise for 10 min.

  3. Pour it over the flour and mix.

  4. Add the lightly beaten eggs and start kneading by hand or using a stand mixer.

  5. Gradually add the melted butter and fruit peel, continue to knead until you get a homogeneous composition.

  6. Leave to rise until it doubles in volume.

  7. Transfer the dough onto a work surface, slightly powdered with flour.

  8. Softly roll the dough into a sheet of approx 1 cm thickness and with a glass press and make round shapes of dough.

  9. Line them in a tray powdered with flour, cover them with a clean towel and leave to rise for another 30 minutes.

  10. When ready, fry them in a pan on both sides until golden brown on medium heat.

  11. Transfer onto a paper towel so the excess oil to be absorbed.

  12. When completely chilled, use your favourite fillings and pipe it inside the doughnuts. I used vanilla and chocolate pudding. Follow package instructions to make the pudding.
