Sweet Mac and Cheese

This is a childhood dessert, made with some small pasta, fresh cottage cheese, sugar, eggs, a knob of butter and a splash of double cream. We always had it with such joy, the smell is amazing and the taste is mesmerising.


➡️Ingredients


250 gr small pasta ( Ditalini, small pasta shells, etc)

300 gr cottage cheese

2 eggs

100 ml double cream

70 gr sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

50 gr butter


➡️Method


  1. Start by adding your pasta to a pan of boiling salted water and cook according to the packet instructions.

  2. Preheat your oven to 180C/365F/ Gas mark 4.

  3. Meanwhile, add all ingredients in a bowl with 25 gr of butter and give it a good mix until well combined and creamy. Add more sugar to your taste if needed.

  4. Drain the pasta, bring in the cheese mixture and give a good stir.

  5. Add the rest of the butter on top, put the lid on or cover with aluminium foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  6. Serve while fresh!

  7. Enjoy!
