Turkish Flat Bread




Ingredients for 8 flat breads


900 gr flour/ 7 cups

300 ml warm milk/ 1.5 cup

300 ml water/ 1.5 cup

20 gr salt/1.5 tsp a

20 gr fresh yeast (1 package) or 10 gr dry yeast/ 1.5 tbsp

olive oil and fresh parsley

Method


  1. Mix flour, yeast and salt.

  2. Add in the milk and combine, followed by the water and combine until you have a homogeneous dough. It might be a bit sticky, but that’s the way it should be.

  3. Cover, place in a warm place and leave to rise for 40 minutes.

  4. Take the dough out onto a slightly floured surface. Knead by hand into a ball. Divide in 8 equal parts and shape them into balls.

  5. Roll each ball into a circle and place into a heated pan.

  6. Bake each side until golden brown and transfer on a plate.

  7. Mix olive oil with freshly cut parsley and slightly grease each side of the flat bread with this mix.

  8. Layer each flat bread on top of each other.

  9. Serve while hot. Enjoy!
