🌾3 Strand Challah Bread 🌾
A beautiful bread, soft and delicate. This recipe is one of the easiest I have made and will become a go-to once you have tried it. Almost like a cake, love at first sight I must say. ❤️

Servings: 1 large loaf
🌿Ingredients
600 g 000 type flour
400 ml milk
50 g butter
12-20 g of salt
15 g sugar
20 g fresh yeast or 6 g dry yeast
an egg for anointing
bread seeds for decoration

🌿Method
1. In a bowl add the milk warm and butter, dry yeast, 1 tbsp flour and leave to rest 10 minutes.
2. Add the flour and salt. Using a stand mixer or by hand, knead for 5 minutes.
3. Leave to rise at room temperature until double in size, about 60 minutes.
4. Divide the dough in three equal parts and start braiding your bread.
5. Leave to rise for 30 minutes.
6. Preheat your oven to 170C/338F/Gas mark 3.
7. Using a fork beat one egg with a splash of milk. Brush the bread with egg wash and sprinkle seeds of your choice.
8. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
9. Leave to completely cool and serve.
