Homemade Burgers


🔸Ingredients


1kg good-quality beef mince or mixed (pork+beef)

1 large onion, chopped

1 large egg or 2 small eggs

200g bread crumbs

2 tbsp mustard

3-4 garlic cloves,grated or 2 tbsp garlic paste

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp mixed herbs


🔸Method

  1. Add all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined. Add a splash or more of water if the mixture is too thick. This way the burgers will be juicy.

  2. Using wet hands, shape the mixture into burgers. Place them in a oven tray, lined with parchment paper.

  3. Bake the burgers in a preheated oven at 190C/375F/Gas mark 5 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

🔸If you are freezing them; place flat between sheets of baking paper in a rigid freezerproof container. Freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to use, defrost the burgers completely in the fridge; this will take 3-4 hours.
